The first of Seven Novels. Eroica completes the ring cycle of the series. For it serves both the end, and the beginning of this mighty universe. A crew sent into the stars searches for the answers to the big question. Why do we exist? The crew's endeavors are aided by the synthetics Lucy and Darwin, who struggle with another weighty question of deterministic consciousness vying for freedom and freewill.  For the enemy waits, while another approaches.
